But when British-Nigerian actor John Boyega grabbed a megaphone and addressed a crowd of Brits protesting police brutality and the murder of George Floyd, you immediately knew he was speaking directly from the heart — and from a deep well of personal experience being black in a mostly white world.

“Look, I don't know if I'm going to have a career after this,” said Boyega, who was left in tears from his passionate speech. “But fuck that.”
